Swindon Oasis - November 2025
Since the spring of last year, I have mostly been photographing using digital rather than film. So, last week I finally got around to having a few rolls developed and scanned. It was a pleasant surprise, as I honestly couldn’t remember what was on them!
The first pictures worth sharing are from a walk I took in late autumn around the Oasis in Swindon. The Oasis is Swindon’s iconic leisure centre, which permanently closed in 2020 during the national lockdowns. The centre has been pretty much left to decay since then.
There has been some effort to redevelop the site by the owners and developers, but their planning application was not approved. They wanted to demolish the sports hall and replace it with housing.
